Bruce obtained his Master of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering at the University of Manitoba in 1979. He worked as a farmer in central Alberta until 1990, when he made the decision to go into accounting. Bruce obtained his Bachelor of Management degree in 1992 at the University of Lethbridge, and articled with the Auditor General of Alberta where he obtained his CA designation in July of 1995. After obtaining his CA designation, Bruce went on to work for a CA firm in central Alberta for the next four years. There he gained valuable experience working with farm and small business clients providing accounting, tax and other services. Bruce also served as treasurer for his church, gaining experience in the challenges facing non-profit organizations. In 1999, Bruce joined Rupert to form the firm of Cass & Fraser Chartered Accountants, serving clients in Edmonton, Camrose and surrounding areas.
