Transfers result from internal decisions to move resources between funds.
Where management decides to allocate unrestricted contributions to restricted funds, the unrestricted revenue would first be presented as revenue of the general fund and then transferred to the restricted fund.
- the amount and purpose of interfund transfers
- the amount, terms and conditions of interfund loans
- all interfund transfers should be shown in the statement of changes in net assets (4400.12-.14)
Transfers need not be disclosed individually if similar transfers can be grouped together.
Interfund loans would be disclosed in the statement of financial position where the organization uses a multi-column format, otherwise disclosure of these loans would be in the notes.
